In a statement made on the occasion, Dr Marzouk Abdelkrim, President of the Ifrane Model Forest Association, emphasised that this 2nd edition of the competition, supported IMFN and MMFN through the funds of the Canadian Governement,, covers both photography and the 3-minute video that students are asked to produce on the issue of the forest.

For Driss Hachimi, treasurer of the Association, the aim of the competition is to “encourage our students and introduce them to research and to see what is happening around them and what the major problems of the Ifrane National Park are, and to encourage them to see what solutions are possible to resolve these problems”.

The second session of the "Young Model Forest Reporters - Ifrane" competition aims to raise young people's awareness of the environment and guide them towards a deeper understanding of environmental and sustainable development issues in the Ifrane National Park, clarifying the concept and approach of the Model Forest through journalistic practice, photos and videos.
